History

In 1959, Johan van Wanrooy started a transport company in Oosterhout in the province of Brabant. Just like his father, he mainly transported sand and gravel throughout the region. The company grew steadily and moved to a new site in 1962. The company also started focusing more on other disciplines, such as transporting white and brown goods and foodstuffs for supermarkets and bakeries. In 1984, the last sand lorry was decommissioned, and due to further growth the company relocated once again, but also outgrew this site quite soon.

In 1989, Paul van Wanrooy joined the company and under his influence the Van Wanrooy Group underwent important changes. In 1994, the site on the Weststad industrial estate was purchased with opportunities for expansion and close to important arterial roads. Paul van Wanrooy succeeded his father as manager in 2001, and the Van Wanrooy Group developed further into a logistics company with a complete service package, which led to the construction of a new, modern warehouse in 2007, taking these services to an even higher level. Together with our customers we will continue our development to optimise the logistics chain even further.
